Well I have surprise good news to report in that Carson had his medical exam done yesterday March 9 and was found to be in good health! Yeah!! They did do a mantoux test on him and he will have that looked at on Monday to be sure he is negative (test for TB exposure). However, the bummer part is that it will take a minimum 10 days for the medical report to be completed and sent to the US Embassy. Really? If I told my patients it would take 10+ days to get them their medical report or sports physical documents, I'd have a lot of very upset patients! As a matter of fact, I just completed 4 sports physicals today and sent the teens off with their parents with the documents in hand! ~ sigh ~ THIS is how it goes with adoption.
So while I am very pleasantly surprised by the news of his medical exam being done, now we wait for another 10+ days for the US Embassy to tell us they have received it and then we wait some more to hear that they have approved everything and then we wait some more for the National Visa Center to contact us with our appointment date. Whew. We are cautiously excited!
You can check two more things off your to-do list. You are down to counting days!! I pray that this time flies by. I can hardly wait to meet your adorable little fellow.
