Fingerprints done!

We had our appointment today with the USCIS office St. Paul to redo our fingerprints for the US government. No word from Amy this week about any approval through MOI. SIGH... maybe next week. Have a blessed weekend.

ADOPTION TIMELINE

Fall 2009 Attended adoption info meeting

May 2010 Application to God's Children Adoption Agency, Inc. (GCAA)

July 2010 Received our first picture from Haiti of Carson Dorlens at 7 months old

August 28, 2010 Final home study approved with GCAA and mailed application to USCIS

November 4, 2010 Received our Letter of Favorable Determination from USCIS

November 7, 2010 Our dossier is finally finished and going down to Haiti this week!

December 8, 2010 The orphanage is renewing their license so no dossiers are moving into government until the renewal is done

December 2010 Presidential election in Haiti causes much upset and riots -- this delays all government processes

January 2011 Dossier enters IBESR in Haiti

May 10, 2011 We are approved in IBESR! Dossier enters Parquet -- the courts

May 23-36, 2011 We travel to Haiti and meet Carson for the first time. We have an interview at USCIS for filing of the I600 form

June 27, 2011 Appt at USCIS for Carson and his birthmother. DNA testing is ordered

October 20, 2011 Dossier is approved by Parquet and enters Ministry of Justice office

November 23, 2011 Dossier is legalized by Ministry of Justice and enters the Ministry of Interior office

December 23, 2011 Ministry of Interior request copies of our social security cards (we can't find Ryan's!)

December 27, 2011 Ryan applies for a new SS card and they tell us it can take 10-21 days

January 3, 2012 Received new SS card for Ryan! Copy is faxed to Haiti

February 3, 2012 Approved from Ministry of Interior

February 16, 2012 Reapproved by US government (USCIS)

February 16, 2012 Carson's passport printed

March 8, 2012 Final translation is complete

March 9, 2012 Carson's medical exam completed
March 13, 2012 All documents go back to the USCIS office (US Embassy in Port au Prince, Haiti)

April 4, 2012 Finall approval of our I-600 petition by USCIS

April 9, 2012 VISA appointment given for 4/26/2012

April 10, 2012 VISA rescheduled for 4/12/2012

April 11, 2012 Leave for Haiti

April 19, 2012 Carson's Homecoming Day!!
